Quick and Easy Caramel Corn

ConAgra Foods® Chef Art Smith shows how to make caramel corn using Orville Redenbacher's® Gourmet Butter Microwave Popcorn. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Remove unpopped kernels from Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet® Butter Microwave Popcorn. Put 1/2 cup Fleischmann's® Original margarine into a saucepan. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Cook for 10 minutes until a candy thermometer reads 235 to 240 degrees. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Drizzle the mixture over the popcorn. Toss with spatulas coated with PAM® cooking spray. Place the mixture onto a sheet pan coated with PAM cooking spray. Bake in the oven at 300 degrees for 15 minutes. Toss again and let cool on wax paper.

Ingredients


PAM Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
1 bag (3.3 oz each) Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Butter Microwave Popcorn
1/2 cup Fleischmann's Original Margarine-stick (1/2 cup = 1 stick)
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
