Summer conjures up images of bright blue skies, big fluffy clouds, and lush, green backyards—not Mom slaving away in the kitchen preparing a hearty, seven-course dinner! But being able to enjoy the great outdoors doesn't have to mean grilling out every day or hitting up the drive-thru. Here are some dinner ideas that are on the table in 10 minutes or less—so you can get back outside to enjoy those great summer days.

Sandwiches—Not Just for Lunch

Most sandwiches make great 10-minute dinners because there's not much cooking or cleanup involved. For something a little different than the same ol' turkey club, try a South-of-the-Border Muffuletta. What's a "muffuletta"? Technically, it's two things: a type of Sicilian bread and a sandwich native to New Orleans. But we think it's simply delicious. This sandwich is fuss-free, but hearty enough to fill those stomachs that are growling from all of the fresh-air fun.

Breakfast for Dinner

Most mornings are too busy to prepare anything other than cold cereal for breakfast, so switch things up one night and serve breakfast for dinner. Make it a good-for-you breakfast-dinner when you make the Heart Healthy Breakfast Scramble.

Salad Success

Summer and salads seem to go hand in hand. They are light and easy, and there's always plenty of fresh produce to pick from at your local grocery store or farmer's market.
